printer control codes in a program

I wrote several C programs that surround text files with both postscript and HPGL language and then send that file to networked HP printers.

Each printer has an ethernet card. The C program uses a socket to send the print job.

The files can be printed in portrait or landscape in several different font and page sizes.

It turned out to be pretty easy. The programs are used as filters in our print spooler.
