If your database version supports them, you could use the external tables feature as well.
UTL_FILE is used in PL/SQL programs to read and write operating system files.

Both external tables and UTL_FILE can be researched if you /forum/fa/1681/0/

1/ load: sql*loader, unload:sql*plus
2/ utl_file: read/write to file

http://otn.oracle.com/pls/db102/db102.federated_search to search in Oracle documentation.
Hope you will never come here with this kind of questions.

Regards
Michel
