I open SQL developer and connect to a data source. I can see the Schema and the tables etc.

When I try to open a SQL worksheet the n "nothing" happens at all. If I change the executable to "run as" a local administrator then it works fine.

It must be trying to write somewhere that it is not allowed.

why does it work like this.

more info;
I have run this as local administrator and this has resolved the issue, but we wondered why it would not run using a User with Domain Admin rights

Using a Domain Administrator to work is really a very bad practice.
It is like using root in Unix or SYS in Oracle.
