Hello,

I have a simple newbie question.

I successfully installed Oracle10 for the first time, on my Sparc server running Solaris10.

I don't understand what the Oracle license means. I did not bought one. Am I able to use Oracle for a limited period of time, like 30 days?

Thank you.

You can not get support for it, but apart from that you are free to use it for as long as you like. Oracle policy is that you can use it for free for study or testing purposes, etc.

Thank you for the answer.
We need it at work, so we need a license.

Thank you!

You're welcome.
You can either contact a sales rep in your region, or buy online:

Now, isn't that a bit of a strange order of actions? Normally you would first investigate licenses and costs before installing..
