I use oracle9i. i encountered a problem in which i was to check the validation that a column is autogenerative or not.

secondly how can we return a table through procedure or function
thirdly if i am asked to return only one value from function how can ireturn two taking as one. is it using record. if yes please tell

simply i cannot check autogenerative part .
i tried to return two values by concat function and returning in1 but that stores only two same varchars not one number and varchar

What do you mean "autogenerative part", there is no autogenerate something in Oracle.

Copy and paste what you tried.
Explain clearly what you want to achieve, the same way you'd do it to your mother.
