Hi All,

Has anyone got this problem? I already created dbora in /etc/init.d and make a link to both /etc/rc0.d and /etc/rc2.d. I already change oratab and set to Y for my database instance. When I reboot the server, the script seems not working?

Please help me....

2.# chgrp dba dbora
# chmod 750 dbora
3.# ln -s /etc/init.d/dbora /etc/rc3.d/K01dbora
# ln -s /etc/init.d/dbora /etc/rc3.d/S99dbora

Hi Taj,

1. Already edited ORATAB file --> Y

2. Here is the setting in /etc/init.d:
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root sys 1444 Mar 30 17:47 dbora

3. Already created link:

/etc/rc0.d/K08dbora
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17 Mar 30 17:24 K08dbora -> /etc/init.d/dbora

/etc/rc3.d/S89dbora
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17 Mar 30 17:24 S89dbora -> /etc/init.d/dbora

Hi,
/etc/rc0.d/K08dbora

try to change "rc3.d"
and
check metalink site for in oracle 10g2 content DBORA file bug
in LISTENER_LOCATION. you have to edit DBORA file and try to execute again.

for rc level.
