Know that if you get it right then you MAY be able to add value to their company. But if you don't get it right then they will have wasted ALL their money and more, because you can destroy the ability of the company to function and perhaps even exist.

If you haven't understudied someone else for at least three installations then you do not have the skill-set to do it correctly yourself.

If you want to play with a sample application and run it in parallel with their existing accounting system for 2 or 3 years then go ahead because when you get it wrong you can start again without jeopardising the company's existence.

And who would hire you to be the implementor if you have never been involved in a go-live.
