Dear all,

I am very new to IT and very blind. i am currently learning oracle with an online institution. i hope to get better as soon as possible and define my strengths and weakness. Do i need to unix, linux(i don't know what the diff is) windows NT on my system.

do i need to install oracle to back up what i am currently learning. how do i work with SQL. can i lay my hands on real time databases. like i said i am a very beginner and don't know anything.

anyone very kind out there to put me through. what steps do i need to take.

To learn oracle? No.
But in real world? Yes. *nix experience is a must.
All you need is oracle XE ( free to download)
