Type object not imported during schema import [message #204520]

HI ,

i made a schema level export from one database and imported in to another database, but i am not able to see any type object which was present in the source schema., please help if there is any method to import type object also.

Hi All,

some clue :--

While import i got the following error :-

ORA-02304: invalid object identifier literal
IMP-00017: following statement failed with ORACLE error 2304:
"CREATE TYPE "STRING_TABLE_TYPE" TIMESTAMP '2005-10-
06:10:52:58' OID '027814"
"B5B828292EE0440003BA7453BF' AS TABLE OF VARCHAR2
(2000);"

Thanx Mahesh,

it is working ,i extracted the ddl statement from the log for type definition but created with invalid status, any way i think this is the only solution.

if someone has another sol plz help, as i have to do manual edit on logfile,for around 100 types.

It is quite simple to script this out.
Use DBMS_METADATA. search the forum for examples.

Or use any gui tools.
Oracle's free tool SQL Developer can extract the DDL.
