Please advise,

Ip addresses and RAC. My VIP should be the same subnet as my Host IP, correct? For the Private Interconnect, can I just pick 10.10.0.1 and 10.10.0.2? Could they be 1.1.1.1 and 1.1.1.2? Besides my /etc/hosts file should I register my PRIV in DNS?
