Check v$sqlarea for shared cursors [message #199777]

Hi,

How can we check in v$sqlarea whether existing cursor is being used or not. Please mention the columns to look on . Please help with examples.

LITERAL_HASH_VALUE NUMBER Hash value of the literals which are replaced with system-generated bind variables and are to be matched, when CURSOR_SHARING is used. This is not the hash value for the SQL statement. If CURSOR_SHARING is not used, then the value is 0.

what does the value in columns version_count and parse_calls of view v$sqlarea signify??when would it change??
