Hello,
I'm in the process of creating a phy. standby and everything works fine till I try to create the standby redo logs, when I'm getting this ORA-01156 error. I've already created the SRL on the primary. Not sure what I'm doing wrong...any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
TX.

Hello,
Just found out that in 10g duplicating a target database for standby, recovers it, mounts it and places the standby in mananged recovery mode. So, I cancelled the managed recovery and then it let me create the SRLs.

Thanks,
TX.

Hi TX,

You just solved my problem bro. thanks for the tip. I was trying to drop the standby logs and it was keep giving me the same error you were getting. I cancel the recover managed and now able to drop the standby logfiles. Thank for the tip
