hello
suppose i have a schema called hr on database A,
prior to start the replication using OEM, to a database called B, do i have to export the hr schema from A and import to database B, then configure replication

or the replication copies the schema from database A to B

It depends on how you set it up.

Look at the DBMS_REPCAT.CREATE_MASTER_REPOBJECT proceduure: copy_rows=>true or copy_rows=>false.
