when creating links from MS Access to Oracle tables there is a problem with the stock ODBC drivers.

They are making MS Access see a text data type when Oracle sees a (and it should be a) number data type.

I'm trying to install better ODBC drivers than the stock ones (that go from MS Access to Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.6.0)

but...

the directions to load the drivers say there should be a file called products.jar but there's only a products.xml

HAS ANYBODY EXPERIENCED THESE PROBLEMS?

and will installing a different ODBC DRIVER fix it?

and is there something wrong with the ODBC DRIVER instalation directions or is there somewhere to find this products.jar?
