Hi,

What should be the best configuration of a RAID drive for maximum performance for a OLTP system?

What is the Oracle recommendation for RAID configuration?

Regards,
Yash

The best RAID level I know of is RAID-10 - fully mirrored and striped.

That seems to be the direction oracle is going ever since the SAME paper (stripe and mirror everything).

Down with raid 5. Disks are cheap, and I/O is probably the biggest limiting factor in today's hardware.
