Normally we define Bill Of materails for base qty of one. I have a SPECIAL requirment to define Bill Of Material with the base qty of 1000kgs.
for example

parent item A the BOM should be created with base qty of 1000 kgs of making the item A.

It means that BOM shoudl will be structed
Parnet item A- base qty 1000 kgs
requires
B-600 kgs
C-500kgs
D-200Kgs.

case 1
when the order for Item A is more than 1000 Kgs

Whenever the item A is ordered say for eample 2000 kgs, the BOm for the item A should the calculate the child parts requirment as

B-1200 Kgs
C-1000 kgs
D-400kgs

case 2
When the requirmenty is less than 1000 kgs

Wheneve the item A is ordered say for eample 5000 kgs, the BOm for the item A should the calculate the child parts requirment as

B-300 Kgs
C-250 kgs
D-100 kgs

please let me know whether this is possible in ORACLE BOM, for discrete manufacturing.

This has to work in tandem with oracle configurator.

As far as I know it is not possible to define ranges in a BOM.
As far as the child componenets are concerned it can be returned back to subinventory from an order by WIP>material Returns.

You can do that in configurator.

Define a BOM with item A quenty 500kg and in configurator you can define rules to muptiply by quenty so it will add quentity on Order.

Thanks.
