Hi I am trying to install Oracle App Server. As soon as I start installation, I am getting three options and I selected OracleAS Infrastructure 10g first (I was told by somebody that it has to be done first) and then Oracle Application Server 10g but everytime I am getting the error when it reaches to "Internet Directory Configuration Assistant" and the error message I am getting is

"Some of the configuration assistants failed" and it is asking me to retry but no luck.

Could you please help me in understanding the problem here and what needs to be done.

First and Foremost you will have to look at the log to see what is causing the error.

Hello,

U have problem with ur network configuration.

If u using DHCP/DNS then check ping ur infrastructure server and it not using DHCP/DNS on ur network. then when Middle tier asks for OID Server_name and port No. where u gave 389 (u r using 9i Rel 2) there u must give IP address instead of hostname of OID Server ok
