SELECT access to VIEWS through ROLES [message #162136]

I want to give SELECT access to VIEWS to roles and then roles to users. Is this possible? I think not if these VIEWS are used in procedure/functions/packages. Just I want to confirm it. Thanks in advance.

Yes, you are correct. The view must be explicitly granted to the user (or the user needs the select any table priv.
