I was reading the Oracle Magazine this morning and saw that Oracle HTML_DB is now called Oracle Application Express. The old webpage http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/htmldb/index.html now directs you to http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/index.html

I suppose we should also change this site's forum name.

Shouldn't we maybe create a new dedicated forum for Application Express/ HTMLDB? Anyone willing to move the relevant topics to such a forum?

Thank Frank! The new forum was created in the "App Server" section. Should we maybe move it to another section?

Should Application Express be in 'Developer & Programmer' or 'App Server & Colab Suite'[ 5 votes ]

I'm wondering whether the 'Application Express', as it is a development tool (which actually does most of its work in the database layer, not the application server layer) would be more correctly placed if it was in the 'Developer & Programmer' section?

I would like people to see 'Application Express' as a REAL alternative to Oracle Forms and Reports, and also as a 'user' development tool (shudder). Hence, I have created a poll for us to 'ex-or-cise our de-mo-crat-ic "rite"[as I saw it written lately]' on this question.
