Hi All,

We are moving from Oracle 8.1.6 -> Oracle 10g and use UDL files to connect our App to the DB.

I uninstalled 8.1.6 and installed 10G Client on a Pc but when testing the UDL connection it comes back with:

"Test connection failed because of an error in initializing provider. Oracle error occurred, but error message could not be retrieved from Oracle"

Can anybody point me in the right direction here, please?
