How to update the existing code combination segments in GL.

can u be more specific, where do u want to update the gl code combinations.

do u want a new code combination or do u want to update it in some table

Yaah,

Actually my requirement is, we have the data from 1996 to 2005,all the old posted transactions, in that one specific account, i have to update the segment6 and segment7 to some other account numbers.

Please tell me how to update the existing segments and how many table will be effect in GL.

May I suggest to delete the existing code combination from backend(gl_code_combinations table) and create a new code combination and assign the same code combination id to new code_combination.
U can test it on the test servers.
I think it may resovle ur problem.

Hi,

Should we change the value of accounts already posted to gl ?
Perhaps it's technically possible but i doubt it's legally correct.
