how to connect( give the user name and password) to the oracle database in runtime through oracle forms.

I think you can use "Logon" Built-in function for this.Please check the documentation for more info on this.

i tried with logon built in function for connecting oracle in runtime. but it is not working.can u explain detaily.

Hi....Go to Program files in that u will find Oracle for Windows NT...In that u will find Oracle Net8 Easy Config Click on that..
give ur data base name and computer name ..after doing test serives..it will solve ur problem
