how would someone run oem on a xp that monitors solaris? Do I need some sort of xterminal?

database in solaris?
The same way you would monitor a windows hosted database.
Make sure the intelligent agent is running in the concerned database.
Make proper tns entries in xp machine to talk to database in solaris.
Identify the NOde using OEM
Identify the the listener/database.
