We are implementing 10g RAC and We have the database server on One node (example ruby) and Concurrent Processor, Applications server and forms server another node (example diamond). Some of our custom PL/SQL programs use UTL file package that write files to the data base server. Some of our UNIX Shell Script concurrent programs access these data files, and these Concurrent programs expect the files to be on the node on which Concurrent Processor is located (example diamond). Since the physical file location should be on concurrent processor node how can we transfer the file between database server node to concurrent processor node?
We noticed that Oracle Applications FND_FILE.PUT_LINE procedure uses UTL_FILE package to create the log/output file in database server node and just before completion of the concurrent program Oracle Applications transfers the log/output file from database server node to Concurrent Processor Node. We would like to know that mechanism Oracle applications is using so we can use the same logic for our custom programs.
