problem In opening the ports(5500,5560) [message #127323]

Hi,

I have installed the oracle10g in FC3 successfully.Also as soon as i have installed, i was able to view the EM webpage(localhost.localdomain:5500/em and :5560/isqlplus).But when i rebooted the server and tried to access the same i was not able to veiw the page(Access Denied). And when i checked with the nmap it doesnot show the ports.

Can any one help me on this issue.Though iam Ok with the linux, iam a new guy to oracle field.

You probably just need to start the console:

$ emctl start dbconsole

Hi,

Actually iam getting an error stating that a directory localhost.localdomain.* was missing in db_1, do i want to set N to Y in oratab for this.
