Unable to create stby database through data guard. [message #124458]

Hi,
I am very new to this forum and this is my very first question to all of this forums users.I am not able to create a standby database through dataguard as I am using oracle 9.0.1
and some one told me that it is a bug and you have to apply approiate patchset to get around of this problem.anyway I wanted to know should oracle 9i second relese do the trick? Or which service pack will make my problem gone?

I'd try to patch up as far as you can. There are some metalink notes on DG bugs/features that have been fixed at each patch level. Go to metalink and do a search on patches and Data Guard.
