serial and lot/serial items [message #112085]

Hi guys,

Could anyone tell me how to make a serial or lot/serial item to normal item.what settings have to change?

In sales order some of the items are not coming .What settings have to be look after for them to appear?

.Go to Master Item Form

.Query for that part

.Go to inventory tab

.Check the flags such as stockable , transactable etc. if all are checked or not.

.for Serial number see the value if it is no control or as control at rma issue.

.At the last check the table if there is any diable date or it has value as E.O.L

Let me know if u still have problems after checking these values.

For items not coming in sales order, check Item Attribute 'Customer Ordered' and 'Customer Order Enabled' on Ordermanagement tab.
Check this attribute for 'Item Validation Organization' (Defined in OM Parameters setup

Hi
For lot and serial number follow the procedure given below "

Open master items form

define your item and give attributes and assign organization.

Go to inventory tab - under heading lot and serial numbers enter the number and alphabet u wish to use as lot/serial number

select full control for lot control

save ur entries

(N) inv>oh-hand availability>generate serial number
run request

go to misc transactions and enter needed data

click on lot/serial number tab

enter lot number, serial number will be automatically generated

click on done
again done

and u got ur lot and serial number for the said item.
