IT FINANCE PROGRAM OFFICE

Director, IT Finance Program Management Office

Client Profile:
Our client is a publicly-traded global company engaged in the design,
manufacture and marketing of a variety of computer interface devices
which
are used for PCs, gaming devices and other multimedia devices.

Job Description
The Director, IT Finance Program Management Office is a key
executive-level
position, reporting directly to the CIO and dotted-line to the CFO.
This
position is focused primarily at establishing strategic direction and
managing execution of IT support for all world-wide/regional Finance
business process improvement and optimization initiatives.  This
individual
will have direct responsibility for the overall operation of the
Program
Management Office (PMO), directing and coordinating services to the
Finance
organization's portfolio of projects.  As such, the Finance PMO will be
an
active member of Finance management team, providing high-level
consultative
inputs and guiding the organization to fulfill its mission and goals
through
the implementation of effective Information Systems solutions directly
linked to business process reengineering efforts.  The impact of this
key
role within IT and the Finance is expected to be significant.  The
Finance
PMO will work closely with the SC PMO to support enterprise
transformation
as a whole, ultimately enabling the success the overall enterprise.

Primary Responsibilities:

Strategic Visioning
· Directly responsible for the development of IT strategies and plans
related to worldwide Finance operational requirements
· Lead efforts to evaluate, select, recommend and implement appropriate
IT
software & system solutions to meet Finance needs
· Participates with the CIO, SC PMO, and IT management team in setting
enterprise application infrastructure as a whole
· Provides direction on the use of Industry best practices where
appropriate

ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT


· Assign project managers and/or other resources to projects or
projects to
project managers.
· Ensuring business consistency with the Finance organization strategy,
consistency of process across projects and internal/external customer
satisfaction with the projects.
· Mediate conflicts and resolve resource and/or scheduling conflicts
within
both IT and Finance organizations
· Assist the CIO and CFO on the formulation of resource plans to
address
approved programs within fiscal year budget limits.

FINANCE PROGRAM MANAGEMENT

· Plan and prioritize projects and sub-projects with the management
team to
meet the overall organization goals and objectives.
· Establish consistent project management policies and guidelines for
the
overall program office.
· Review project budgets and schedules developed by the Project
Managers;
provide technical, design, and contractual expertise to the Project
Managers.
· As an expert in Change Management, provides mentoring and training.
· Act as a knowledgeable resource and subject matter expert for best
practices and technology solutions.

Requirements

· Minimum of 15 years IT and/or Computer Industry experience with
demonstrated track record of continuing responsibilities, especially at
the
executive level.
· Track record of creativity and innovation.
· Ability to develop strong working relationships with all relevant
parties
especially at the executive level.
· Will know how to lead, motivate and drive a team of creative
individuals
to accomplish great things.
· Great interpersonal, team building, organizational and motivational
skills
are a must.
· Expert in managing and mentoring.
· Demonstrated experience in successfully managing a portfolio of
systems
projects and project managers for a complex worldwide organization -
Manufacturing experience a plus.
· Strong experience in the areas of project planning, program
management,
communication and organizational skills. Senior-level consulting
experience
desired.
**************MUSTS**************
· In-depth knowledge of Finance and related systems, budgeting, global
forecasting (relationships to inventory demand planning and sales
forecasting), cost accounting, general ledger, executive information
reporting, product profitability analysis, and the like.
- Knowledge of Oracle Applications – 11i is preferred; knowledge of
related
systems leveraged for running the financial enterprise (Hyperion, data
warehousing, and reporting tools) a plus.

· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with strong
presentation skills.
· Experience in the area of Business Systems Planning and systems
evaluation
and selection
· Degree in Management Information Sciences or Computer Science (or
equivalent work experience). MBA or advanced education desired.
