Hi,

 I have a Oracle 8i database. I have created a schema under a userame user1. I would like to have user2 rights to select from any table from user1's schema. How do I do that? I have given user2 rigths to select any table on the database but that does not allow user2 to access user1 database. User2 needs to log in from an application so doing a select from user1.schema is not an option. I need to give rights to user2 to user1's tables.

Create a Public synonym for the objects and grant that to public/specific user.
