Excel to ORACLE [message #101989]

here is my delima. I have a excel spread sheet. with 8 tables, each table with 7 columns, and a couple thousands rows of data. I want to put all those rows into a new oracle database im creating. Any suggestions on how do this. I really do not want to type out all the rows into oracle.

Hi,

You can easily convert your Excel spreadsheets into CSV files. Transfer or FTP these files to you Oracle Server and use SQL*Loader to load the data into Oracle. See the Oracle Loader FAQ (http://www.orafaq.net/faqloadr.htm) for details.

Hello,

I have Oracle 8i Server running on Windows 2000 Server.
I want to transfer data from my Excel (CSV file) application to Oracle tables. Can you guide me how this can be possible.
