Hello,

We are planning to migrate our software to access
an HP/UX database server from an NT client where our software runs (Net8, TCP/IP).

Is there any SQL syntax, datatype compatibility issue ?

You have the client in NT, but the DB is in HP, so what compatibility are you talking about ? No matter where you are, you are hitting the DB in HP.

Thanks for your reply Sanjay.

Oracle NT is accessing Oracle HPUX and there should be no incompatibility.
But I have seen SQL incompatibility between "same" DBs on different platforms before. Example: DB2 where SQL datatypes valid in NT DB2 were suddenly invalid when accessing DB2 on AS/400, not to talk about different SQL message IDs for the same symptom.

That's the stuff I'm after.
