 I would like to know what is the importance of Document category in oracle Apps.

While creating document category we have assigenement  through whice we will assign a form/function to the category..

so document  category created will have the category id and form will have form id

i wolud like to know that which is the interface table that have a relation between the category Id and form/Function ID

Hi, Basically, document categories are used throughout Oracle E-Business Suite modules to distinct between similar transactions according to analytical needs and to enforce sequential numbering of all transactions that fall within specified category thereat.
