We are on 11.5.8 and about to roll out Purchasing for a few unusual scenarios. Is there seeded functionality to close a standard PO for an inventory item without receiving the item?
I know this might seem like a silly question, but we just want to close the PO when the item is received without receiving the item into Inventory (i won't explain why unless you really want to listen to the reasons).

I think this is what you are looking for:
Go to:
Setup - Organizations - Purchasing Options - Control - Receipt Close Point
There you can choose between "Accepted", "Delivered", and "Received".
