I want to post data in two tables.Having master-deatil relationship.The records should be posted into second table using the sequence number of the record which was inserted in to the first table. Any help?

You can create a sequence in the oracle db, do a select on the sequence to get the sequence number and insert that sequence number into the master and detail table.
