hi ,
i am installing Oracle 9i on Suse Linux 8.x, While installation it
gives me error "Error in invoking target ntcontab.o of make file
/opt/oracle/praduct/9ir2/network/lib/ins_net_client mk". could
you help me in this . you can mail at email ;

Can you please post the errors here which is in make logfile under "install" directory so that we can debug more on the issue.

Try this..according to metalink

cd $ORACLE_HOME/network/lib
make -f ins_network.mk ntcontab.o

and relink net after it.
And ensure you got swap minimum 500 MB.
