Good morning,

It is technically possible to have an Oracle9i database, running on Sun SPARC Solaris, replicate to (and failover, in case of failure) another Oracle9i database running, let's say, on Solaris X86 or even Windows Server ?

Thanks !

Hi,

Yes, you can use Oracle's Replication to replicate data between different platforms and operating systems that are running Oracle. For details, read the Oracle Database Advanced Replication Guide.

Best regards.
