 creation of materialized view failed for a table of size 6.5 gb........I runs for more than 10 hours and then failed.......problem in creating materialized view log too

database version--- 8.1.7.4

OS--------- solaris 8

machine -------- Sunfire 6800 with 24 GB ram and 12 cpu's
