Does anyone know if Oracle plans to provide the capability of using SOAP over HTTP or HTTPS to access an Oracle DB, vs. using SQL*Net?

MS SQL Server 2005 will have this capability and I'm wondering if Oracle is also creating this functionality.

Any feedback would be appreciated.
