ORA-03121 Unable to connect D2K with Oracle 8i [message #66292]

Hi!

I am unable to connect D2K with Oracle 8i
I have a windows98 OS. I am able to run the 8i in normal way but on trying to connect D2K to Oracle 8i
I get the following error
"ORA-03121 No interface driver installed
Function not performed"

Will Someone please help me its really urgent

Invoke net8 easy from start-Program-Oracle for Window98 folder. there u create ur connect string. this will take u thru' the dialog mode operation where it will ask u to enter ur database name and ip adress. If you are not connected with network i.e., both oracle and D2k are running on the same machine. in Host name give ur computer name.

or If u are not able to work with net8 easy config. find a file name called "TNSNAMES.ORA" in ur directory. open it in Notepad. copy the TCP/IP config into some other new connect string name in the same file. save the TNSNAMES.ORA then run Forms give username/password@connectString.

and since i am new user of D2k i want some quick references through which i can use D2K

tengo un lenguaje q se llama QBE Visio 6.0 y quiero conectar con el oracle 8i y sale este problema, como puedoi solucionar gracias.

when u install oracle 8i and d2k in same system u should create connect string and update all palces
i.e. d2knetworkadmin, oracle_pathnetworkadmin
then try to connect it definatily work
