Ora-03121
no interface driver connected-function not performed. happens when SQLNET
drivers are not loaded into memory or there is a mismatch of the version of
the driver . A user program linked to an obselete library can cause that
also. Only programs by Oracle CORP. can use this interface. connect again
to Library or call Oracle

The ORA-03121 problem. The problem is not with the Oracle Client install, but with the Microsoft
Oracle ODBC dll files. These files have not registered correctly. This is a known error with Microsoft and Oracle 8i, and Microsoft provide a file toupdate the registry files on their website.

I ran this file, and now everything is working ok.
