Hi All,
I finally managed to install dataguard with using maximum protection method (LGWR SYNC AFFIRM). The OS platform are Sun Sparc Solaris and running Oracle 9iR2
The dataguard is up and running.. and now I'm doing some testing. There were one testing part..where we unplug the primary ethernet cable just after commit. The primary seems hang and the oracle automatically shutdown itself..which according to documentation is right for Maximum Protection, it said that the online redo log already transferred to standby database. my question is how to apply the changes manually at the standby database? I tried to 'recover managed standby' using the latest redo log..but it still show the old data. Any comments/suggestions would be very much appreciated

regards,
Jeffery
