Install APEX on Machine2 & then create database link in APEX database back to DB Server instance

Thanks for your recommendation. However, my customers don't like db link. May I use JDBC or something instead?

APEX is installed into the database. It doesn't run on a client. You run the browser on your client, to connect to ORDS. Where are you running that? Then ORDS connects to the database.

Can I install ORDS in machine 2, together with APEX, then connect to DB server - machine 1?
