Hi,

I had taken oracle certification 1z0-001 some 3 to 4 years back.

Now I want to go next level to know more about like cursor,triggers,... to be expert on this.

Please suggest me which certification I should take.

Thx

The PL/SQL certification you'd pursue would generally be: Oracle Forms Developer Certified Associate
This certification has a SQL component (which 1Z0-001 will fulfill) and a PL/SQL component. The PL/SQL component can be either of the following two:

1Z0-147 -- Program with PL/SQL
1Z0-144 -- Oracle Database 11g: Program with PL/SQL

I recommend 1Z0-144. I wrote an article detailing why here:

You can find links to the relevant documentation, third party books, and articles here:

Oracle's own web site is not entirely consistent on this, but I think that certification is more often named Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate

http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=458&get_params=p_track_id:PLSQL

Once you have the Associate certification, you can then go on to Prefessional level certification in either PL/SQL or Forms (or both!).

Yep. You are correct. I cut & pasted this directly from the 1Z0-144 page on the Oracle Education site without actually paying enough attention to realize that they have the wrong certification title there. That certification is gained by passing 1Z0-141.

I'll let them know so they can fix it. Thanks.

Hi Mathew,

Thanks a lot for you info. Is there any study material available in the net for 1Z0-144 -- Oracle Database 11g: Program with PL/SQL.

The link I provided in the first reply contains numerous Web articles covering material that is in the 1Z0-144 exam.

As I find additional material that is neither illicit (braindumps) or illegal (copyrighted) then I'll add additional links there.
