Hi All,
I am newbie in Oracle Reporting. I have a requirement to give EXCEL Output from Oracle reports 10g. The rdf which was already existing is giving pdf output. The users were interested in Excel Output and I am facing hard time here. I googled and got a few threads regarding this, none of them ended up with exact solution. Kindly let me know the solution for this.
You can find the attachment for Built in packages I have in the form Builder. Please suggest me, if there is any package is needed for this task.
Thanks a lot in advance.

My requirement is to get EXCEL report from Report Builder or from the UI and not using any third party tool. Any other suggestion are welcome.

Hi,
You can use Quote:
client_Text_IO.Put_Line
from Forms.
Or change the system parameter DESTFORMAT value to 'SPREADSHEET' from Reports

Hi,

I think the best way is convert your Oracle report output to Excel.
First please output oracle report to html/htmlcss format, set desformat=html.
And then, call a tool named Rep2excel to convert the output (file or stream) to Excel.

No coding, no changing your report.

Please search google for Rep2excel and download the software.

Regards,
Louis

I doubt that after 4.5+ YEARS the OP will benefit from your sage advice.

BTW, you never get a second chance to make a first impression.
