hello i got this error while i running this setup.exe from this database folder i unzip i am installing this oracle 10g r2 10.2.0.5 on windows server 2003 r2 64 bit i got this error

"The image file D:/10.2.0.5forwindows64bit\winIa64_10025_database\database\setup.exe is valid but is for a machine type other than the current machine"

a) is your hardware 32 or 64-bit?

Ooops! Sorry, you have already specified it when opening a topic; I didn't see it.

Obviously, a 64-bit operating system runs on a 64-bit computer.

Certification matrices suggest that 10.2.0.5 is certified with MS Windows Server 2003 R2, so this shouldn't be an issue. However, download link suggests that this version is supposed to run on Itanium processor. So, does your server run on Itanium?

its ok so why i got this error and check it i download this a full installation i check its size its 814mb this same size its mention in oracle website

So, you do have an Itanium processor, right?

If that's so, I'm afraid I don't have any other ideas. Hopefully, someone more experienced will be able to assist. If not, consider contacting Oracle Support.

i have intel core2duo processor and machine is HP and operating system is microsoft windows server 2003 r2 enterprise x64 edition service pack 2 right now i already install this Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0 - 64bit but i want to install this 10.2.0.5 on this .little foot told me i can install on this but why i got this error its also b not known sorry can u suggest me how can install this
