I suspect OS error
Look in OS "messages" file for clues

The OS error is below:
ORA-27063: number of bytes read/written is incorrect
SVR4 Err

Such for IO error in your system log.
First idea: FS full?

Michel

i have checked the var/adm/messages and own alert log and found nothing regarding IO error and my FS which is actually an nfs share mounted on os have a lot of space when checked by df -ah and that is 640 gb and my level 0 backup size 510 gb so no problem in that regard

This may be the error.
Which version of NFS? Which mount options do you use?

Michel

And mount options and FS is exported?
See /etc/fstab in target server.
See /proc/fs/nfs/exports, /var/lib/nfs/rmtab, /var/lib/nfs/etab on source server.

Anyway, I would not recommend to use NFS mounted file system when backing up (may be used for restore with no problem).

Regards
Michel
