Hi,

Can I directly upgrade Oracle 9.2.0.1.0 From RHEL-4 platform to Oracle 11g Rel 2 on RHEL -5 platform?

I have the export dump and cold backup of Oracle 9.2.0.1.0 database.

Please suggest me easy steps.

Regards,
OraDba

all the Installation Guide manuals can be found at http://tahiti.oracle.com
you can Read The Fine Manual as well as I to learn appropriate steps & options.
You face two separate & distinct tasks.
1) upgrading Oracle versions
2) making OS switch.

at a minimum Oracle need to be upgraded to V9.2.0.7

ok.. thanks.
At first I have to upgrade Oracle 9.2.0.1.0 to Oracle V9.2.0.7.
Then I have to upgrade V9.2.0.7 to Oracle 11G Rel-2 (RHEL-5 32Bit).

Can I use Export /Import method ? or shall I proceed with the cold backup (datafile/logfile/controlfile).
Which will be the easy method.. please suggest.

But the steps are described IN DETAILS in the documentation why should we copy and paste them here?
