Update of YTD Depreciation and Accumlated Depreciation [message #519885]

Dears,

I work in oracle E Busines R12

I would to update YTD Depreciation and Accumlated Depreciation when run depreciate in STL Method not Add Depreciated Amount to the YTD Depreciation and

Accumlated Depreciation or if there is an option can calculate the depreciation of the asset from date in service until now like 01/jan/2010 until 31/aug/2011
How I can work it?

Ok Mr.Madhu I have run Depreciated and close period of asstes that have entered failed YTD Depreciation and Accumulated Depreciation and when run depreciation to the next period, the STL method take the value of YTD Depreciation and Accumulated Depreciation (that is invalid value entered) and add new value depreciation to the YTD Depreciation and Accumulated Depreciation so i need update YTD Depreciation and Accumulated Depreciation to enter valid value.

can you help me please

Hi Raul,

It's not possible to update the YTD Depreciation and Accumulated Depreciation values. Because entire periods of values will effect eventhough if you require then you can raise a SR to Oracle Support Team or you can enter fresh asset with appropriate YTD and accumulated Depreciation values and date place in service.

Dear Madhu

If I adjust the date in service like FA Adjustment (Penny Cost Adjustment) then oracle Update the YTD Depreciation and Accumlated Depreciation from date in service until now this is correct or not, though the depreciation period was closed.
