Base tables in Or Apps [message #519314]

hi all,
I am new to Oracle apps.Can anyone please let me what is base table..
what is HZ_parties table...There are so many attribute1,attribute2,.....
where do find the info for the of these column (i.e.what data does this column hold)?
what are API tables in oracle....
Why do we use Oracle Incentive Compensation module?
Does it capture only the Incentives for salesreps?please give me an breif idea on this?
Is there any book that will explain basic concepts for oracle apps ?
And coding for PLSQL (Concurrent programs)?
can anyone please suggest the some best links to learn things quickly in oracle apps

Please help me on this.

It is all described in the EBS documentation library,

you probably need to begin with the concepts guide,

It will be a while before you can progress to your specific questions, but to give you some pointers: the ATTRIBUTEn columns are for storing flexfields, so no-one can say what data is in them apart from your EBS administrator. The HZ_% tables are all described in the Trading Community Architecture guides.
