Hi,

To have physical standby database, the hardware and software versions should be same, including patch sets?

Also please give the url link to Oracle documentation describing the same.

Thanks.

Thanks, but sorry I forgot to mention .... I asked hardware and software requirements for creating a manual physical standby database and not for Data Guard.

Data Guard (in physical way) and physical standby can be seen as synonymous from the installation point of view.
